Women's Rogaine

You apply Women's Rogaine just two times a day, once in the morning and once in the evening, and within four months you may see that new hair is coming in. Continued use is necessary to increase and keep your hair regrowth.

But how exactly does this happen?

Hair thinning begins when the hair follicle shrinks as a result of androgenetic alopecia (AGA). Over time, each hair becomes shorter, finer, and less visible; and eventually some follicles will no longer produce hair.
Women's Rogaine stimulates and enlarges hair follicles that have shrunken over time due to a combination of hormonal activity and heredity. So it's actually reversing the hair loss process.
Women's Rogaine prolongs the growth period of hair. In the natural life cycle of the hair, a growth phase alternates with a resting phase. When your hair has extended growth phases, it is able to become thicker and longer.
In the first 2 to 4 weeks you may notice increased shedding as part of the hair growth cycle. This increased shedding occurs in some women as the hair growth cycle moves from the resting to the growth phase.
It takes around four months for you to see hair regrowth, which is at first soft and downy, because what's occurring during the first few weeks of using Women's Rogaine is happening inside your scalp. Your patience and diligence will pay off. And considering the benefits, four months or so isn't very long to wait - especially when you realize that your hair follicles have been shrinking for years.
The soft, downy initial hair regrowth will change over the next few months into hair of the same color and thickness as the hair on the rest of your scalp.
Because Women's Rogaine counteracts the process of hair thinning, if you stop using it, the hair thinning process will begin again. It's the ongoing daily regimen that ensures your hair regrowth success. Think about it - you already have a hair and makeup routine. Adding Women's Rogaine is no big deal, but the benefits will be.

Women's Rogaine® is for women who have a general thinning of hair on the top of the scalp. Women's Rogaine® has been shown to regrow hair in women with the degrees of thinning hair or hair loss as shown on the side of the package (see box for details). in clinical studies of mostly white women aged 18-45 years with mild to moderate degrees of hair loss, the following response to 2% minoxidil topical solution was reported: 19% of women reported moderate hair regrowth after using 2% minoxidil topical solution for 8 months (19% had moderate regrowth; 40% had minimal regrowth). This compares with 7% of women reporting moderate hair regrowth after using the placebo, the liquid without minoxidil in it, for 8 months (7% had moderate regrowth; 33% had minimal regrowth).
